The Case for the Australian Margarita
A Margarita doesn't need to be imported to be exceptional. Here's why local agave changes the drink.
The Margarita is a simple formula, agave spirit, citrus, orange liqueur, salt, which is exactly why the quality of the base spirit matters so much. There's nowhere for a rough or overly sweet spirit to hide.
Silver's brightness was built with this drink specifically in mind: enough vegetal character to read through the citrus, clean enough not to muddy the salt rim.
Made with Australian-grown agave, it's not a substitute for anything. It's its own version of a drink that never belonged to one country in the first place.
